What’s the difference between the Baseline Heart Health Test and Immune Defense Test?
The Baseline Heart Health and Immune Defense Tests both screen for prediabetes and inflammation markers, but the Baseline Heart Health test includes cholesterol levels, while the Immune Defense test includes a Vitamin D screening, which is more relevant to immune defence.
What will my results tell me?
This test looks at a broad spectrum of cardiovascular biomarkers to provide insight into your heart health. It reviews your complete cholesterol profile and also measures your body's inflammation with hs-CRP. This test also incorporates a diabetes screening for HbA1c and fasting glucose. If any individual biomarker from the test shows elevated levels, it may strongly indicate a higher risk factor for an underlying heart health condition. Following a test, you can use your results report to engage with a physician and explore further diagnostics + treatment plans.
Who should take this test?
The baseline heart health test is a foundational test to screen for heart disease and monitor cardiovascular health. The test focuses on a broad spectrum of heart-healthy indicators such as cholesterol, glucose, and inflammation levels. For anyone experiencing fatigue, weight gain, or general heart health concerns, this test will provide a baseline overview. Please note, if you are experiencing heart attack symptoms, contact emergency services immediately.
